Heartfelt Care’s Caring Hearts: Where Compassion Meets Community

Heartfelt Care Agency not only delivers on those fronts but goes a heartwarming step further with their Caring Hearts Loyalty Program. It’s a testament to their belief that care extends beyond the home and into the very fabric of our communities.
More Than Just Care:
At its core, the Caring Hearts Loyalty Program is a beautiful cycle of giving. When you become a new client or refer a loved one to Heartfelt Care, you’re not just securing top-notch care; you’re also setting in motion a ripple of generosity. A portion of proceeds is directed towards local charities each month in Los Angeles, Orange, and San Diego counties.
Mental Health May: Supporting the Friendship Line
At times, we all feel the weight of loneliness, isolation, or sadness. But no one should have to face those feelings alone. That’s why we want to share the incredible work of the Friendship Line, a program that has been a lifeline for thousands of older adults across California since 1973.
The Friendship Line isn’t just a helpline — it’s a warm line. That means people don’t need to be in crisis to call. Whether you’re feeling down, need to hear a friendly voice, or just want to talk, someone is always there to listen. The line has never gone unanswered in over 50 years, thanks to the dedication of its founder, Dr. Patrick Arbore, and the passionate team at Institute on Aging.
Every month, staff and volunteers at the Institute on Aging answer and place over 11,000 calls, offering support, compassion, and a reminder that no one is truly alone. The Friendship Line is part of the Center for Elderly Suicide Prevention and Grief-Related Services, and is fully accredited by the American Association of Suicidology.
We are proud to support this essential service by making a donation to the Institute on Aging. At Heartfelt Care Agency, we believe that emotional connection is just as vital as physical care — and we’re honored to help sustain a program that makes such a meaningful impact in the lives of seniors and caregivers across our state.

April Awareness: Shining a Light on Parkinson’s Disease Support
April is Parkinson’s Awareness Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness and supporting those affected by this progressive neurological disorder. At Heartfelt Care Agency, we understand the unique challenges faced by individuals with Parkinson’s and their families. Many of our caregivers are trained to provide specialized care to clients living with Parkinson’s, and we’re committed to making a difference in their lives.
This April, we’re focusing our donation efforts on local non-profit organizations that directly support seniors with Parkinson’s disease in Los Angeles, Orange, and San Diego counties. We believe in the power of community and the importance of supporting organizations that provide vital resources and services close to home.

Making March Meaningful: Solar Power Support for Seniors
As we head into March, Heartfelt Care Agency is committed to helping Los Angeles, Orange, and San Diego county seniors thrive. Through our Caring Hearts Loyalty Program, we’re proud to support GRID Alternatives in their mission to provide access to clean, affordable solar power, a vital resource for a quality life.
GRID Alternatives leads teams of volunteers and job trainees to install solar electric systems for income-qualified families. This provides families with much-needed savings on their energy bills and gives area workers hands-on experience in the green-tech economy, helping them find employment in this growing field.
For many seniors, fixed incomes can make it challenging to afford essential needs, including rising energy costs. GRID Alternatives’ work directly addresses this challenge. Beyond the financial benefits, solar energy contributes to a healthier living environment.

February Felines & Fur: Help Save Our Furry Friends
February is the month of love, and we’re spreading that love to our furry friends! Our Caring Hearts Loyalty Program is dedicated to supporting organizations making a real difference in the lives of cats and dogs in need. Through your participation in our program, we will be donating funds to animal welfare organizations serving animals in San Diego, Orange County, and Los Angeles. Join us in spreading love and care to our furry friends this month! Your contributions help us provide:

January Jackets: Support Warmth for Those in Need
As winter sets in, the need for warm clothing becomes even more critical for those experiencing homelessness. This January, our Caring Hearts Loyalty Program is dedicated to supporting organizations making a real difference in the lives of those facing hardship by collecting winter jackets for distribution. Through your participation in our program, we will be donating funds to organizations serving individuals and families in San Diego, Orange County, and Los Angeles.

San Diego:
We’re supporting HealthCorps San Diego (https://www.healthcorps.org/san-diego) through our Caring Hearts Loyalty Program. HealthCorps works tirelessly to bridge the gap between health resources and underserved communities.
Orange County:
We’re supporting Clothing the Homeless (http://clothingthehomeless.org/). Clothing the Homeless is dedicated to providing basic necessities, including clothing, to those in need.
Los Angeles:
Our Caring Hearts Loyalty Program is also supporting Project Ropa (https://www.projectropa.org/), an organization that empowers individuals and families experiencing homelessness by providing resources and support.
What kind of jackets are needed?
- New or gently used winter jackets in good condition
- Both adult and children’s sizes are welcome (depending on the specific organization’s needs)
- Warm materials like fleece or down are ideal

December Delivery: Spreading Cheer to Isolated Seniors with Donated Gifts
This holiday season, Heartfelt Care Agency is going above and beyond to spread cheer and support seniors in need through our Caring Hearts Loyalty Program. We’re partnering with three non-profit programs to bring joy and essential resources to isolated seniors in San Diego, Los Angeles, and Orange Counties.
Los Angeles County:
The SmileMakers Holiday Gift Program brings the community together each year to provide holiday gifts to older and disabled adults living in skilled nursing and residential care facilities.
Many of these individuals spend the holidays in isolation, without family or friends to share the season’s special moments. To ensure they feel valued and remembered, SmileMakers work in collaboration with Ombudsmen to deliver individually wrapped gifts to thousands of long-term care residents who might otherwise be overlooked.
Through this program, SmileMakers help spread holiday cheer and create meaningful moments for those in need.

Orange County:
Senior Santa & Friends (SSF) is a year-round donation program that provides essential gifts and special request items to low-income older adults and dependent adults. The program serves clients of the County of Orange Social Services Agency and the Orange County Health Care Agency.
Since its inception in 1992, SSF has worked to enhance the quality of life for its recipients by supplying necessities and durable medical equipment. These contributions help clients maintain a more manageable, comfortable, and independent lifestyle.
In 2023, SSF delivered over 2,100 gifts to this vulnerable population, thanks to the generous support of volunteers and donations from County employees, private companies, community organizations, and individual donors.
San Diego County:
On December 7, 2024, giving hands will unite with grateful hearts to spread holiday cheer through ElderHelp’s Holiday Angels program.
More than 300 seniors will receive a festive plant, a $25 gift card, and a handmade greeting, offering them the gift of love and hope during the holidays and beyond. For many, these thoughtful gestures make all the difference, as shared by Dorothy F., an ElderHelp client: “Sometimes when I feel down at the holidays, I look at the plant and reread the card. It always cheers me up.”
