Wild Animal Safari Senior Excursion Details

Location: Wild Animal Safari – Agua Dulce, CA
Date: Wednesday, February 11, 2026
Departure: 8:30 a.m. from Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center
Return: 4:30 p.m.
Cost: $93.00 (Includes $5.00 registration fee)
Includes: Safari Show & Tour, Lunch, Snack, Water and Transportation
Activity Level: Level 3 – Higher Activity
Involves extended walking, climbing stairs, and multiple bus boardings. Best for seniors who can comfortably walk more than half a mile and stand for longer periods. Making it ideal for seniors who enjoy a more active day while exploring exciting outdoor environments and observing wildlife in motion.

What to Expect

The excursion begins at the Wild Animal Safari, a rescue sanctuary that cares for more than 70 exotic animals spanning over 25 species. Seniors can witness these animals exhibiting natural behaviors in a safe, controlled environment while learning about species conservation and the critical role sanctuaries play in protecting wildlife.

Next, the trip continues to the Gibbon Conservation Center, home to approximately 40 gibbons from various species, many of which are endangered. Visitors will gain insight into ongoing research and public education efforts that aim to preserve these primates’ populations. This stop provides a rare opportunity to learn about conservation firsthand and observe gibbons up close in an enriching, educational setting.

To ensure a complete and enjoyable day, lunch at BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse is included, along with snacks, water, transportation, and a guided safari show. Every detail is designed to make the excursion comfortable, engaging, and memorable for seniors.
