About Irving Flores

Born in Veracruz, Mexico, Irving Flores began his musical journey at age six on the organ, influenced by his father, a member of the famed Orchestra Tampico. He later switched to piano, developing into a composer, arranger, and pianist recognized internationally for his versatility and skill.

Irving has performed with legendary artists like Bill Watrous, Charles McPherson, Poncho Sanchez, Alex Acuna, and the Spanish Harlem Orchestra. He has served as Music Director for the Gilbert Castellanos New Latin Jazz Quintet, recorded the acclaimed live album Armando Mi Conga in 2025, and continues to headline major jazz festivals, including the San Diego International Jazz Festival.

Critics praise him for his “freight train” energy and hypnotic, thrilling performances, while fellow musicians highlight his unique ability to connect with audiences and elevate every concert to a magical experience.
